In the recently completed mega audio launch function of Dasavatharam, so many top personalities from film industry were present. Tamil Nadu Honourable Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi compared the top two stars Dr. Kamalhasan and Jackie Chan.
He said, both the actors were born in 1954
Kamal born on November 7 and Jackie born on April 7.

He appreciated the efforts put in by Kamalhasan for this movie. He said, he hugged Kamal after seeing few photographs of the roles that he has done in the movie.
He also described the movie as "real Brammandam" and this movie alone stands for that word. He descirbed the first scene which involves Kamalhasan as Ramanujam as a good start.
He wished the director K.S. Ravikumar, producer Oscar Ravichandran, Sony BMG Sreedhar and other artists a grand success.
