Jackie Chan Hits Back!

Jackie Chan in his blog has hit back at the reports published by the recently launched English daily news paper that he disrepected Indians!

After landing in Beinjing airpor, he was surprised when few people asked him "Why the trip to Chennai did not go well?" He then saw the news reported by "Namma Chennai" published by the recently launched news paper Times of India.

The news paper said that:

1. Jackie Chan brought his own drinking water and did not take the Indian mineral water;
2. He did not take the Indian food though every visitor to the country eagerly taste Indian food. He brought his own cook and did not taste the Indian food.
3. He did not meet the press people and he was always locked in his room; The only person who had easy access to him was actresses Mallika Sherawat
5. He did not respect the Indian artists; He asked "Who is Amitab Bachan."

All of these news irked Jackie and he is always polite in giving back, but he said, this is not correct and he has to give back, otherwise the good image that he has built will be tarnished.

He said, it is his responsibility to clear the matter otherwise people of India would misunderstand him.

He said, the irresponsibile reporters have published wrong and incorrect information. He said in his blog:

It is not his style to hit out at the but the irresponible reporters had left him no choce. To the reporters who wrote those offensive articles, I say this:

"You say I brought my own water. What brand did I bring? You can find out from the housekeepers at the hotel whether I did such a thing.

"You say I refused to eat Indian food. Do your research and talk to the three butlers the hotel assigned to my room and ask them what I ate!

"You say I holed up in my air-conditioned hotel room, ignoring my hosts. Why would I travel all the way to India and refuse to leave my hotel room?"

He also said:

"I've been in the public eye for many years and I have put up with a lot of ridiculous things written about me. I very seldom lash out at anyone. But truly, these irresponsible reporters spiled the memory of my trip, and I am so afraid that when my gracious and wonderful hosts read the lies, they may get the complete wrong impression of me and my feelings about them and about the event.

Therefore, I am posting this message on my website immediately to set the reocrds straigt."

This is indeed ridiculous to publish such a thing without having data. I am with Jackie Chan and in fact would urge him to sue the news paper and the reporter. This is no doubt would damge and tarnish the image of anyone involved. Few people who read the paper spoke of this news and were surprised that Jackie would do such a thing!
