Though Trisha speaks Tamil, Kamalhasan put her through Tamil classes to learn proper Tamil. Kamal's Marmayogi requires the proper pronunciation and slangs used during Kings ruling. This requires enormous skills as the current Tamil is locally called as Chennai Tamil with lots and lots of slangs.
The ancient Tamil requires proper training and Kamal, who always looks for perfection in his films, has asked Trisha to learn so that she can make her lip movies properly so that it can be covered during dubbing process.
Trisha is one of the leading actress in this film along with Shriya Charan who is also expected to go through this training.
If they do not go through this training, it will end up like Asin speaking the language in Dasavatharam.
