Rajni's remarks create stir in Karnataka!

Rajnikanth's remark against the Kannada people during the fasting on Friday, April 4, 2008 created stir amongst the Kannadiga. During his speech, he said, "... udhaikkavenda avangala (hit them or beat them)..."

A section of the political party blowed the issue and said that, he wanted Tamil to hit and beat Kannada people and is provoking violence. They also wanted unconditional apology from the leading actor.

They have decided to protest and ban all Rajnikanth's film in Karnataka until he apologizes.

This is the first time, he has participated in an event that called for his full support for Tamil Nadu, where he had seen huge success in his career. This means, he has to go against Karnataka where he was born and brought up and acted his first movie.

We have to see whether the BOSS will backtrack in his words to convince the Kannadigas.

In the fasting organized by the Tamil Film Industry, almsot all the actors and artists participated. This was against the violence and indecent behavior meted out against Tamil people and their related business by the Karnataka people. Fasting by Tamil Film Industry - Pictures!

The entire Tamil Film indsutry today went on fasting for more than 9 hours including top actors such as Rajnikanth, Kamal Hasan, Vijayakanth, Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, Dhanush, Simbu, Nayanthara, Manorama, Trisha, Nameetha, Vaidvel, Radharavi, Vairamuthu, Surya, etc.

Tamil Film Industry in Fasting!

The entire Tamil film industry went on fasting today from 8 AM. The leading stars of Tamil Film industry were present supporting the move for Hogennakkal Water Scheme.

There were violence all over Karnataka against Tamilians, Tamil Nadu Transport buses, hotels, movies, etc. The former Chief Minister of Karanata Sri S.M. Krishna pointed out that Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister's tough remarks against Karanata provoked the violence, which was denied by Kalaignar.

The Tamil film industry announced the fasting plans two days ago, protesting the violence against Tamil people and film industry. All the famous personalities spoke explaining the reasons for the fasting, why it is not fair on Karnataka's part for claiming the water in Hokennakkal, the unfair treatmenet meted out by Kannadiga's against Tamil people.
